Letter to President Lula with recommendations for the financial system

Almost 50 civil society organizations sent a letter to President Lula with recommendations for regulating the financial sector in order to help the country rebuild the economy and develop in a direction compatible with its international commitments in relation to the protection of the climate, forests and its peoples.

The letter, which was also sent to the ministers of the Civil House, Finance, Environment and Climate Change, as well as to the presidents of the Central Bank and the Securities and Exchange Commission, makes four recommendations:

1. Improve socio-environmental rules for the financial sector
2. Accountability of the financial sector
3. Dialogue with civil society
4. Support for Sustainable Finance
